I have a PS3 FAT that has no power - the power button situated below disc slot shows no light of any colour. From the tests I have performed on the power supply, I am suspecting the on/off switch itself. I guess I have 2 questions I am hoping to get help with:
1 - when I measure the voltage coming off the prongs of the on/off switch I get 30v. Does this automatically indicate a faulty switch? I can see no component that would step it down from 120v.
2 - what is the actual supply voltage to power up the power supply itself if I want to test it on a stand alone basis? I know the outputs but can't seem to find the out if it is straight 120v or less.
