Topic: Please help a stupid father with multiple PS4s

Right, hopefully this is an easy fix?!?

Having been a big fan of the original FFVII I have purchased the remake. We have two PS4s in the house, mine and my son's. We have only one PSN account which he uses daily. There has never been a time that we are both playing (this is the first time that mine has been on for 2 years!)

I was under the impression that I could create another account under our profile (which I have done) and then still open the game. When I click on the game (I know I can't play it yet) it asks me to sign into the PSN account, which I do but that then kicks him out.

I've tried googling and I am at a loss. Please help!

Is this console set as your primary PS4?

@stupiddad digital games are account bound BUT other users can use it on the same PS4 as long as it's your "home" PS4 and not a different one, the account holder needs to be signed in if you are on a different PS4 and you can only be signed in on one PS4 at a time with the home console taking precedence over others, this is to stop what is known as game sharing which is illegal (this is where one person buys a digital game and then lets others use their account on another PS4 and play the game for free), if someone tries to use the same account on 2 systems at the same time the none home system will be signed off

now if your son's PS4 is the home system you setting up a new account wont do a thing, if he used a new account on HIS PS4 then he could play the game on his new account while you was signed in on the old account

basically if your not on the home console you can't play it without being signed in and you can only be signed in on one system at a time
