Topic: Gigabit internet but ps4 is throttling me?

I've had my gigabit internet now for a month or so with speeds of around 930 down and 110 up. The problem i'm facing is with my speeds and downloads at certain times of the day. In the morning I'll get 700 download on my PS4 and can download large games in no time, Fantastic! But come 4pm and my speeds on my PS4 are almost perfectly 45 download! Games that took me a matter of minutes to download now take near on a hour. I can fully understand "peak times" and more traffic but it seems abit strange that my download for the rest of the night will stick at 45 down and not go higher. I can plug the same cable into my PC and test it which low and behold is 930 down! It's really frustrating me! Any ideas on anything i can do to fix this.

@bbraad We are the middle of a global pandemic and lots of people are working from home. Why are you surprised?

I spoke to PS and they say they don't throttle

This is my source. If it works at a high speed on an Xbox then your problem is the speed of PSN which you can’t do anything about.

Yeah it works completely fine in the morning, just clear to see they slow me down like a flick of a switch and all i can do is wait till they lift the throttling due to pandemic. Side note i tested a ps3 and that was more then my ps4😂

@bbraad MS have confirmed they would not be throttling speeds on XBL during the pandemic, whereas as Sony are.
