Been searching the web for this but I can’t seem to get a combination of search terms that find me what I’m looking for...
Looking to replace my current sound bar. In my current situation, a high quality set of headphones (<$300) would actually be preferred. However I don’t want to lose surround sound capabilities... I know games will output surround sound to headsets, but do the TV apps also do this (Prime/NetFlix/etc) if the program you are watching is encoded with surround? Currently on PS4 Pro, but hoping the answer applies to the PS5 as well (like I’ll ever be able to find one....).
There seems to be too many options for getting headsets these days, but want to make sure getting a pair will achieve the desired effect...
