Topic: Cloud Save Restoration

Hey guys. I had a power cut yesterday which ended up corrupting something and not allowing my ps4 too boot up. Looking online I saw I had too initialize the ps4, wipe it and retrieve my saves from the cloud.
This all seemed fine and I proceeded when I realised that the files were from 10/11 April and effectively wiped my progress of the ff7 remake (Which I was close too platinuming)
Question one: is there any way that my saves are somehow saved else where? Which Im aware is an absolute long shot.
Question two: if not, How can I get my ps4 too back up my saves too the cloud more regularly too prevent this happening again.

Edit: I do have auto-Uploads ticked on as the old saves I did have were auto uploaded having never manually did it myself.

@KabraPandora Do you put your PS4 in rest mode overnight or shut it down?
I believe it has to be in rest mode to auto-upload your saves.
Also, you can manually upload a save at any time by going into your settings —> Application Saved Data Mgmt—> saved data in system storage, but you probably know that. If it’s not the rest mode thing, then it might be an internet connection issue that stopped recent uploads.

@KabraPandora Is the PS 4 you’re playing on set as your primary system? If not, save files aren’t automatically uploaded to the cloud storage.

Another possibility is that you hit your limit? Next to the data size (100 GB) there is also a restriction on the amount of files (1000).

As for your lost save files... I’m afraid I personally don’t see a way of obtaining them again. Nevertheless, enjoy the rest of your weekend!
