Could you please let me know if you can tell from this picture if my HDMI port is broken? I've tried two HDMI cables but both seem too big and won't fit. They are not PS4 specific HDMI cables though, is that an issue? http://imgur.com/gallery/91NHkRx
@derekd565 lol it doesn’t look very well does it. What are those metal pieces coming out the top and bottom? Did you buy it like that? Looks like someone could have replaced the port at some point?
@kyleforrester87 lol I have no idea what those are...I took a long break from gaming and just dug this up from 6 years ago. I think I bought it like that but to be honest I might have done something incredibly stupid and goofed it up. I've been known to do so. My friend thinks those are grounding tabs. I'm thinking about taking it to a repair place today.
@kyleforrester87 and I just called, $140 to replace it...not worth it IMO. I was just gonna trade it in for credit anyways so I can get a PS5 and play all the PS4 games I missed.
@kyleforrester87 yeah I was gonna fix it then trade it if fixing it ended up being cheaper than $140 but so much for that haha. Thank you for your time!
