The Making of Karateka (PS5)

$7.99/£6.39 (-60%)

The Making of Karateka is a rare treat. It's part documentary, part archive, part collection of old games, and part remaster. It's also a wonderful example of just how far we can go with game preservation if we put the work in, and the gold standard for how we should approach collections of classic games going forward.

The Swords of Ditto (PS4)

$2.99/£2.59 (-80%)

The Swords of Ditto is a great little indie adventure, perfect for quick stints of surprisingly tense gameplay. Although some slight technical issues are a bit of a pain, they're not enough to detract from what is otherwise a delightfully charming experience. Tight and tidy, this is an addictive time sink that's well worth a look — especially if you bring someone along for the ride.

Tin Hearts (PS5)

£3.19 (-80%)

A Lemmings-inspired experience with an unexpectedly poignant plot, Tin Hearts takes you inside the home and memories of protagonist Albert J Butterworth through the most innocent of childhood items: toys. With over 50 levels, slick presentation, and even optional PSVR2 support, this is a well-designed and wonderfully memorable little puzzler.

Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip (PS5)

$8.99/£7.49 (-50%)

While there's nothing in Tiny Terry's Turbo Trip we haven't seen before, it's the delivery that makes it novel. The writing is genuinely amusing, the story rather sweet, and the slapstick physics plenty of fun to engage with. Only some minor technical hiccups interrupt the otherwise smooth gameplay, and while finding the last remaining collectibles can be difficult, the game succeeds due to its brevity and playful tone.

Until Then (PS5)

$7.99/£6.39 (-60%)

Until Then is a heartfelt, narrative-focused adventure that shines in its relatable portrayal of teenage relationships. There's a grander story to discover about a catastrophe that verges on world-ending, but the more intimate storytelling about being a young person going through that awkward adolescent phase. While the game has some rough edges, it spins a great yarn, and there's enough room for some fun minigames too.

Vampire Survivors (PS5)

$3.74/£2.99 (-25%)

Probably one of the most moreish games on the market, Vampire Survivors is a fascinatingly fun roguelite. With attacks firing off automatically, all you have to do is avoid enemies and survive each 30-minute round, gathering XP and leveling up your abilities as you go. While it doesn't look like much in static screens, it'll surprise you just how chaotic things can get, and building your character to become a literally unstoppable force is satisfying every time. The sheer amount of unlocks and secrets to discover means practically every run gets you something, too. We can't recommend this one enough, but be warned — you might never play anything else again.

Viewfinder (PS5)

$8.74/£6.99 (-65%)

If you're looking for a very different style of puzzle game, Viewfinder is well worth checking out. This first-person puzzler's innovative mechanic is all about taking photographs of the environment, then stamping that picture down and, wherever you've placed it, it'll become a 3D part of the space. While we can take or leave the story, the puzzles themselves are inventive and really encourage some outside-the-box thinking.
