Jazzpunk: Director's Cut (PS4)

$3.74/£3.74 (-75%)

Still utterly unique, Jazzpunk is a brilliantly surreal comedy adventure full of zany twists and turns. An espionage plot is at its core, but along the way you'll be free to explore a series of levels with all kinds of characters and objects to interact with, many leading to unique minigames or distractions that'll leave you baffled, laughing like an idiot, or both. It's not for everyone, but it's one hell of a ride.

Kill Knight is a brutal twin-stick arcade game that plays like DOOM's sugar-crazed nephew. You descend through the various stages of hell, fending off seemingly impossible numbers of enemies with a pair of guns, a sword, and a dash. It's blisteringly fast and rewards skilful yet aggressive play, gradually opening up new abilities, equipment, and higher difficulties. This is a blistering, relentless force of a game to really test your skills.

Knights and Bikes (PS4)

$9.99/£8.49 (-50%)

Knights and Bikes is an adorable action adventure about two best friend kids exploring their island home. Playable solo or in local co-op, this title is all about Nessa and Demelza's appetite for adventure and trouble, with the presentation effectively showcasing their wild imaginations and freewheeling sense of fun.

Monster Sanctuary (PS4)

$3.99/£3.19 (-80%)

Overall, Monster Sanctuary is a delight. Exploring the interconnected world with your team and discovering cool new monsters is always fun, but it's the process of developing your favourite companions that makes the game so hard to put down.

Nine Sols (PS5)

$14.99/£12.24 (-50%)

Nine Sols is a fantastic 2D action game that ticks all the boxes. It has an intriguing sci-fi story and setting, cutthroat and challenging combat, and gorgeous presentation. Described as a sort of side-scrolling Sekiro, this Metroidvania is a real treat. It may be tough, but as with the Souls games, that just makes mastering its systems all the sweeter.

No Man's Sky (PS5)

$23.99/£15.99 (-60%)

The initially rough reception of No Man's Sky can safely be put to bed. Hello Games has stayed fully committed to its procedurally generated space exploration adventure, fleshing it out with a staggering number of huge updates. Not only does the game look and run much better these days, it's bursting with things to see and do, and that's without considering the 18 quintillion planets waiting to be discovered. The PS5 release is the best version you can play on console, too, with minimised load times, great DualSense integration, and now even optional PSVR2 support.

Nobody Saves the World (PS5)

£5.99 (-70%)

Nobody Saves the World is an unusual and creative spin on the RPG. You explore a large world by shape-shifting into dozens of different forms, each with unique abilities to help fight back enemies and traverse obstacles. Playable solo or in two-player co-op, Nobody Saves the World is an addictive and very different adventure, presented with Drinkbox's sense of humour and style.

Othercide (PS4)

$4.49/£3.74 (-85%)

While they share plenty of the same DNA, Othercide is much more than simply XCOM in eyeliner. Sacrificing warriors to boost the stats of other units proves a compelling and flexible mechanic, while the combat encounters ramp up in difficulty at mostly the right pace. A stunning aesthetic and perfectly complementary soundtrack are the icing on the cake, only occasionally marred by unfortunate technical difficulties.

Planet of Lana (PS5)

$5.99/£4.24 (-70%/-75%)

It might not end up matching the influence of Limbo or the perfectly-judged arc of Inside, but Planet of Lana is a welcome addition to the side-scroller genre on PlayStation regardless. It looks amazing, sounds great, and tells a nice succinct story.
