Hi-Fi Rush PS5

Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks has confirmed the upcoming physical version for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will still be released via Limited Run Games despite Microsoft's plans to close the studio. In addition, one last update for the game will be available later today "to address some minor issues".

In the team's first tweet since it was announced The Evil Within, Hi-Fi Rush developer Tango Gameworks will be shut, it explained: "Thank you all for your continued support. We’re working to release the physical edition of Hi-Fi RUSH with our partners at Limited Run Games, as well as a final patch to address some minor issues releasing later today." Pre-order details for the retail version haven't been shared yet, though at least now physical enthusiasts know they can still soon own Hi-Fi Rush on a disc.

Tango Gameworks is one of three studio closures at Microsoft, with Arkane Austin (Redfall, PREY) and Alpha Dog Games also ceasing to exist. Furthermore, Roundhouse Studios is being absorbed into The Elder Scrolls Online studio Zenimax Online Studios. It's rumoured Tango Gameworks was in the process of pitching a Hi-Fi Rush sequel, which will now never see the light of day.
