PDP will be releasing a new wireless guitar controller later this spring for PS5, PS4 that's solely compatible with Fortnite Festival and Rock Band 4. The device is said to sport up to 36 hours of battery on just a single charge, and will feature a thumbstick behind the guitar, supports both right and left-handed players, and has a 3.5mm audio jack.
Able to be folded in half for storage purposes, you can view the accessory in its packaging below. A price has not been announced yet.
The PDP Riffmaster will be compatible with Rock Band 4 out of the box, and an upcoming patch for Fortnite Festival will make it usable in the Epic Games title also. While Rock Band 4 finally had its DLC support ended, Fortnite Festival is only just beginning, so you've already got a huge music library to work with if you've been keeping up.

This might finally get me back into Rock Band again. It’s been awhile. I still have my old guitars, but having one that’s native to PS5 (with a rechargeable battery) will help me pick it up on more of a whim. I hope it doesn’t cost too much.

Yes this is a must for me . I just went to a retro store and bought a ps3 guitar for my ps5 for rockband! Hopefully they will make the drums too I won't the set for a family activity.
Now I want Guitar Heroes on PS5.

@gonzilla Yes, please! The only reason I never bought Rock Band 4 is because I couldn't get my hands on the drum kit. I would absolutely buy it if they release a good drums peripheral. I stopped playing RB1 back in the day because the drum heads were too loud. They fixed it for RB2, but I couldn't purchase another set at the time.
In related news, about a week ago Rock Band 4 became £7.99/$9.99 on the PSN store. There's not the usual discount signs which suggests it's the new permanent price for the game:

Surely these fortnite songs will work in rock band 4? Not that I'm personally invested either way but it seems strange for them not to. Though I guess licenses is probably in part why they wouldn't.

I wish they’d release a stand alone rock band that just plugs into TVs rather than need a video game system. Still, nice to see a guitar making a comeback.
Definitely getting this! Love Fortnite Festival and can't wait to finally be able to play Rock Band 4
And not compatible with Unplugged VR2, as always Sony taking care of its VR2.
