If you were hoping to play any of the following 16 PS Plus games, like Far Cry 5 or The Quarry, then you may be sh*t out of luck. As part of Sony’s ever-rotating catalogue of PS5 and PS4 releases, a total of 16 titles will leave the service today. In fact, depending on your region, by the time you read this, they may already be gone.
The full list of games departing both PS Plus Extra and PS Plus Premium are:

- Goosebumps: The Game
- Inside
- Limbo
- Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
- The Crew
- The Medium
- The Quarry

- Yakuza 3 Remastered
- Yakuza 4 Remastered
- Yakuza 5 Remastered
Of course, Sony is also updating PS Plus today with a bunch of new titles, so there’ll still be no shortage of stuff to play. It’s a shame to see fairly recent additions to the service departing so quickly, however – some of these have only been available for a few months. That, unfortunately, is the nature of the subscription beast, though – and we suppose there’s always a possibility they could get re-added in the future.

A bit late to announce on sonys part or did i miss something?
Wasn’t the Quarry a free game before it was added to the catalog?? I’m sure I remember people moaning that they added a game that was already given away. Or am I going mad lol

Ugh, of course they remove the quarry before Halloween. I guess it's humble choice then.

Some bangers in the list there. Quarry is genuinely a good game, but I've played it as soon as it joined. Medium is the one I really tried to finish when removal was first announced (over 2 weeks ago), but just couldn't stick with it. There was hype around release time, and I just don't see it.
Most of these I have played upon original release but I still hate how many are taken off at a time with no warning until it's too late to start one.
It takes me forever to finish a game and yakuza Kiwami 2 was removed when I only had one chapter left.This is part of the reason my subscription lowers in March as I prefer to take my time with a game not feel stressed trying to finish them.
@tameshiyaku I was literally saving this one for Halloween too. How frustrating. I wonder if the timing is calculated in order to get some extra Halloween sales in.
@Danloaded when new games showing up they updating that section where you can see the leaving soon games too. So this article just like "oh you missed these games" but we already knew these will be leaving today about 3 weeks ago.

Gutted, I got to chapter 5 in The Quarry last night and was hoping to log in to PS5 this morning and put it on offline so I could get enough time to finish the game, but it's already gone! Oh well, I'm sure it will be on essential at some point.
Shoot, also been meaning to play The Quarry. Oh well, I'll get my Halloween fix with my back to back Alan Wake playthroughs.
Had the medium and the quarry on my ps5 since they went on the service and never got round to playing them. I guess I never will 🤣
@Fuzzymonkeyfunk I just played those when i saw they were gonna leave the service 2 weeks ago.
I enjoyed both, but the quarry much more. The medium have an incredible ambientation but poorly executed

The Medium is a cool horror game, I'm glad I played that a while ago, but it sucks for The Quarry. That's what happens with these subscriptions, too many games with not enough time for all of them. Even more so when you are a father of twins.. haha.. maybe I should unsubscribe.
@Nekomichu I suppose a year or so down the line they could end up on ps plus essential then I would have them back. I tend not to add any of the extra games to my library unless I’m going to play them. I made the mistake of adding the PS5 version of greedfall to my Library and when it left I lost access to the ps4 version that I added when it came to essential
I can live with that. The games I was interested in, I have already played.
I love having the option to play all these games, but what I've been most surprised about since Extra started is how few of them I've actually found the time or the inclination to play seriously before they're removed again!
These titles have all been on the 'leaving soon' list on PS Plus for about a month now, so this article is definitely a little late to spread the word. I tend to scroll down to the bottom of the Games Catalog tab every time new games are added to see what is going to be leaving.
@LordAinsley well 2/3 of all horror kinda sucks so it sorta comes with the territory. Guess I'll dust off my ps2 and have some quality time with silent hill 2.
Sony would do well in future to give more notice when titles are leaving the service. Pulling titles with little to no notice is very bad PR on Sony’s part.
Hopefully you guys don't only get your information from here because we usually get a month's notice from Sony before games leave the service. I managed to get through almost all of the ones I was interested in, even wound up dropping some I thought I would like because they wind up getting boring. Next month's games leaving have already been announced, so take the initiative and check for yourself so you don't miss out this time.

I've realised that there's no good reason for me to continue my PS+ Premium after it expires and I'll just stick with basic.

@Jonnyl well it's just my priority but when new games added I always wait to see what will be leaving and start some of those games (or play again), and only after that I play the new ones. With this I never miss any important game
The quarry was added in 2023 february, so it's quite short time, I played it few weeks ago.
@Billyboy88 You may be going mad, but at the very least you are wrong. I would have claimed it for sure if it was an Essential game.
It can be had pretty cheap regularly for anybody who still really wants to play it. Physically I can't remember the last time I've seen it for more than $20.
The quarry is fine for one playthrough but it was mostly nonsense and way to much effort to get all the trophies unlike until dawn. I wish any of their games were as good as that... but the characters they've made since then aren't even likeable.
