Persona 3 Portable PS4 Patch Will Reportedly Fix Audio Quality Issues

Atlus is reportedly in the process of delivering a post-launch patch for the recently released remaster of Persona 3 Portable on PS4 and other platforms. The update will, according to SMT Network, address issues with the port's audio quality.

We reviewed the Persona 3 Portable just last week, and we did note that the remaster has some audio balance issues. Indeed, some voice lines and sound effects can seem incredibly compressed or overly loud. It's not something that distracts from the game's overall appeal, but it is noticeable at points.

My biggest wish for all these games is just the ability to save anywhere and we will never get that. The old "I just have to defer sleep and/or important tasks that must be accomplished by a certain time for just another 20-74 minutes until I can save otherwise the last 20-80 minutes was a complete waste of time!" gameplay just doesn't work in the modern world. This alone has me thinking Switch is the only realistic platform for these titles.

I'm pretty sure most of the audience for these titles is well past "I just have to get to the save point, daaad!"

@NEStalgia We did kinda get the "Save anywhere" feature in both games but worked in a different way. You would just hit quick save and then you'd be put back into the main menu. And then you would continue from that but it would get deleted. Not too big of a fan of that kind of saving but I was still very happy since I could finally play P3P and P4G (decided to play Golden first) on something else besides the Vita or PC.
