Dark Envoy is a classical-style CRPG that comes equipped with all the latest bells and whistles the genre has to offer, including multiple ways of experiencing its real-time battles. It's gearing up for an all-new adventure on console in 2023.
Following in the wake of the new-school entries in the genre, like the excellent Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous and Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, Dark Envoy will feature an expansive crafting system, deep class-based character customisation and a variety of companions to assist you in a world featuring both guns and sorcery.

A subgenre of videogames, which closely resemble MUDs and pen-and-paper roleplaying.
Usually controlling a whole party instead of a single char, strategic visual and pausing.
Love me some crpg’s so as long as there’s a story or easy difficulty setting I’m there day one. I play these games for the story,characters and world not the combat which I always find boring as hell

Currently battling through Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous at the moment so this is right up my street.

@TeapotBuddha try pillars 2 the combat is turn based. Amazing game. Also Wasteland 3 doesn’t get much love but it’s excellent, and you can play the entire game co-op like divinity.

Yes yes yes, my body has been ready for this wave for years. Loving all these CRPGs recently. We get enough output of games in other genres, some of us crave these. Looking forward to this, though would like a look at the dialogue system since the snippet they showed of that binary decision in the trailer raises a few questions about the writing.
If you want an offbeat crpg without a combat focus I can't recommend torment: tides of numenera enough
@Baccaman So it can be Console Role Play Game or Custom RPG, Crystalic, Cynic, Cool.... so many options...
