Rocket League Season 4 is about to get started on PlayStation 4, and it's looking like a rootin' tootin' good time. The Western themed season starts on 11th August — that's tomorrow, by the way — and it brings with it a bunch of new goodies for fans to enjoy.
Most notably, the new season introduces a new arena named Deadeye Canyon, which takes the soccar action to the wild west. Then there's Outlaw, a brand new vehicle that looks like a bit of a monster. The arena will be free for everyone, while the Outlaw car will be part of Season 4's new Rocket Pass Premium along with lots of Western-themed cosmetics. You can catch a glimpse of both of these in the below teaser:
As well as all that, the Competitive Tournaments part of the game is being expanded, with 2v2 and Extra Mode tourneys joining the regular 3v3 competitions. Limited Time modes for Season 4 will include Speed Demon on 19th August, and Spring Loaded later in the month.
Finally, a few updates will make life a little easier for everyone. Streamers will be able to disable any copyrighted music, ranked matchmaking has been overhauled to match up people of a similar level, and people rage quitting casual matches should be less of a bother once the forfeit system is introduced. All in all, it sounds like Season 4 will be a good one.

What about PS5 upgrade finally?
@Majk_SVK it runs 4k 60 fps. Unless you actually have monitor to play at 120fps, what upgrade are you talking about?
@Bamila Thats what he is referring to and what I desire. I’ve got a LG CX that offers it.
@Bamila I have many friends gaming on either 144hz monitors or people like me gaming on LG C9 (or other on 120hz TVs like @OmegaStriver).
We play COD on 120fps on PS5 and trust me when I say it is a huge difference and a game changing feature.
& especially in games like RL it is much needed. Also - the motion blur is awful on PS version of the game and in comparison to PC version, it is more difficult to spot anything in some fast-paced situations.
I have never played this. 🤪
Forgot to download when it was on Plus.
@Sebatrox Maybe its time to try out now. 🤪
