LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga Seemingly Launches This October

It's likely the game's release date for now but, y'know, nothing this year is exactly set in stone.

decade's barely started and the game of the decade winner is already about to come out

I have to ask. Im honestly getting this because it has stuff from the original trilogy.This will be my 1st ever lego game ive bought,I do buy star wars games though. Question for those of you that buy lego games,how long can I expect it to be in hours?Hoping for at least a 20 hour game ?

@Wormold Yep, that's my regret about this too-& I did buy Lego SW Force Awakens too! Now....I'd just wish it was a remake on the Lucas created movies! Geez, hate to think how many hours I poured into the ps2 originals & ps3 complete saga...though Lego Jurassic World & Lego Marvel 1 probably gave them a run for their money!
@hulkie Haven't honestly heard much about this one-but the main lure of the Lego games is the replay value collecting enough studs to unlock characters & replay levels with new abilities & unlock collectibles/abilities you can then use if you wish. If you like the franchise its based off,then its an easier rare platinum trophy to knock off!

@hulkie The main storylines of most LEGO games run to around eight hours, but nowadays there are large hub worlds with another eight to ten hours of content crammed in. That's without considering that all LEGO games require you to replay story missions in "Free Play" to fully explore and unlock them, so I'd say unlocking an average LEGO game's platinum is about twenty-five to thirty hours, all told.

There'll likely be a Season Pass consisting of DLC packs which add new levels and characters (this'll be where The Clone Wars, Rebels, Rogue One and Solo might get some love) but this is already sounding like the biggest ever LEGO game, if they really are covering all nine movies with five levels each.

None of it is ever challenging, in the slightest, so they're always very easy platinums; they're just time-consuming, which is what you seem to be after anyway!

@hulkie Oh, and forgot to mention... despite covering all nine films, the developers have said that you can tackle them in any order, so you should be able to skip straight to your preferred original trilogy from the get-go. Whether you then complete the rest is up to you!

I hope this features a playable Ahsoka, dual lightsabers and all.

Last I heard, there were rumors you had to buy IRL Lego kits to unlock stuff in game, if that's the case, I don't want it at all

@KidBoruto there was a Lego box in for the Razor Crest from The Mandalorian that said it had an exclusive code for unlocking it in game, the rumors have some weight to them
