The brilliantly simple concept of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime is this: you and your friends need to pilot a circular spaceship in order to restore love to the galaxy. Doing so is more complicated, of course, with each player needing to take control of one aspect of the ship’s controls; one driving, one on the shield, and two on guns, for example. Making your way through the game’s randomly generated levels requires true teamwork, making it a more than worthy entry on our list.
This new adventure game from the creator of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a purely co-operative experience, and requires two players either online or on the couch. Starring two prisoners, Leo and Vincent, you and a friend will be busting out of prison and embarking on a quest for revenge. The constantly shifting split screen gives the game a unique look, while the variety of scenarios where you need to work together results in a highly entertaining experience.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War really is the complete package when it comes co-operative mayhem. A lengthy, varied campaign gives four friends the chance to team up and take on Hitler's undead hordes across the French canals, a Zoo, and Hell itself while multiple difficulty levels and a persistent rank test your abilities to the max once you've got a hang of things. Horde mode then tasks a team with surviving for as long as possible, opening up new environments and enemy types as you progress. With two comprehensive modes to explore and master, Zombie Army 4: Dead War will have you chomping at the undead bit for more and more.
