The 37th annual Golden Joystick Awards is on the horizon, and the nominees have been revealed. Unlike other award ceremonies, where the winners are picked by a committee, the Golden Joysticks are decided by public voting, and you can now have your say over on GamesRadar.
This year has an interesting mix of titles all vying for victory. Days Gone, Control, and Observation are among the most nominated with three nods each. We've listed all the PlayStation relevant categories below, but there are a few more over on the official site. The ceremony itself takes place on 15th November, so there's just a few weeks to get your votes in. What do you think of this year's nominees? Make your predictions in the comments below.

Great game, i know critics weren't that fussed with it but i loved it.
Studio of the year has to be Capcom with Resident Evil 2 and Devil May Cry 5 two of the very best games this year and that Monster Hunter expansion
So many great games this year. Days gone isn't one of them.
Rephlex
"So many great games this year. Days gone isn't one of them."
This!
I don't see how Dreams deserves a "PlayStation Game of the Year" nomination when it hasn't even released yet?
Unless they now have an award for "PlayStation Early Access Beta of the Year" Dreams should'n't be nominated. I realize a lot of games release incomplete these days, "games as service" and all that, but Dreams hasn't even released the "GAME" if you consider the game to be the story mode, all they've released so far in "Early access" is the engine they used to MAKE the game that they haven't released yet. Can you imagine the response if next year SquareEnix sells a boxed copy of Unreal Engine 4 that says "FF7R Early Access" and they say the "story" will release at a later time?
I'm ok with what they are doing w/ Dreams, but it's a game engine, not a game, until the story releases. Hence $30 "early access" and not $50 or $60 for the full game. They even said as much themselves.
What is included in Early Access?
Early Access is exactly that. Early entry into Dreams, designed for creators to get hands on with the tools. It won’t feature everything that the full release will have (our story mode being a big piece of that)
Days Gone was decent, not spectacular but if that’s somehow one of the best games of the year then I’m confused. I’d say RE2, Judgment and Sekiro blew it out the water and that’s just picking a few.
as the best game we should consider which one give me the best gameplay the story isn't every thing in video games rather than that we will go watch movies and enjoy them much better than many games.
Control is the worst srory telling lot of crazy stuff and their story for the game is out of order and control.
Devil May Cry 5 the best Visual and the best gameplay. for story it's repetitive one since Devil may cry 3 Virgil against Dante, however still good one for those never plays DMC Before.
Days gone as chain of events good one good gameplay some glitches here and there and one of the best this year.
@carlos82 totally agrees with you
How is Tetris Effect eligible for Game of the Year and other such categories...when it didn't come out in 2019?
@carlos82 Yeah i had to vote Capcom as well, they have been killing it lately.
Days Gone was good, but it wasn't award worthy.
I personally didn't like it all that much, and have no desire to ever return to it, but it was decent until I got sick of it.
@Knuckles-Fajita Because it came out after last year's Golden Joysticks.
@Quintumply I could swear it came out earlier than that.
Days Gone really surprised me. Challenge mode is breaking me. I'm happy it is nominated.
maybe they should try to playthrough the game disc with not updating. that might make them think twice before giving out any nominations, when they see they cant finish the game because it was released as a broken and unfinished product. but important things like delivering a quality product dont matter i guess.
@thefirst I Think For Bend Studio The Hard Part Is Over Now They Just Need To Take what They've Learned And Improve It For The Sequel
@gamer89 If you want to complain about other games on the list, feel free, go right ahead, nobody is stopping you, doesn't make the game I'm complaining about any more valid.
@rjejr Didn't They Have Pubg During Early Acesss on The Game of Year List I Think it was Last Year or The one Before it People Were Heated Then To
Well deserved.
@Areus I thought the PuBG heat was at The Game Awards in Dec but youcoudl be right, but I do remember it. Gaming is weird. My wife is still trying to wrap her head around why "Untitled Goose Game" is a thing.
@rjejr PUGB got those too its silly i know.
YES! Warframe is nominated.
