It's been nearly five years since the announcement of Dead Island 2. Initially announced all the way back at E3 2014, the sequel to the cult hit zombie title has been MIA all this time. It's switched developers, with Sumo Digital taking over from Yager Interactive, but news since has been virtually non-existent. Fast forward to today, and publisher THQ Nordic has provided us with a (tiny) update on the elusive game.
During a recent presentation to investors, the company outlined its upcoming slate of announced software, including Dead Island 2. Unfortunately, the only comment passed on the game is that it's "still being worked on," and to "stay tuned." That's all we get.
We suppose there's a slim chance it'll make an appearance at E3 2019, but let's not get our hopes up. At this point, you have to also consider whether it's been transformed into a next-gen title. We're just spitballing now - here's hoping we get some concrete information soon. Are you still eagerly awaiting Dead Island 2? Shuffle into the comments below.

I Had Forgot All About This Game
I hope so because the first one was really greahahahahahahaha sorry.
By the time we get this we will have already had Dying Light 2 and the fact Yager was kicked from this was the nail in the coffin for me. The most interesting thing from this is the fact Nordic have 80 games in development. Unfortunately they haven't hit gold yet with most of their releases
I'm more interested in any news on Biomutant and the secret game volition are working on.
I do not envy Sumo Digital having to try and salvage these long in development hell projects as of late.
But...Dying Light 2! 🤷♂️
Idc which comes first personally i just want this game, idk what could be the problem here just stick close to the model and create some new weapons no need to overthink it, can't please everyone just really evaluate the core gamers of this franchise n let er rip 🤘🤘
