Physical sales of Days Gone are larger than any other game released this year in the UK, according to Eurogamer.net. Despite launching on a Friday and being a brand new intellectual property from a studio making its PlayStation 4 debut, the adventures of Deacon St. John have managed to outpace some of 2019’s heaviest hitters, including Resident Evil 2, Kingdom Hearts 3, and Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
While digital data is a big missing piece of the puzzle here, it’s an impressive result for Sony’s exclusive nonetheless, and a reminder of just how well the platform holder’s stepped up the marketing for its first-party titles of late.
