Warning: This article features images of the Marvel's Spider-Man Collector's Edition statue, which contains spoilers.
You may remember during the run up to the release of Marvel's Spider-Man that Insomniac Games refused to reveal the lower half of a statue included in the game's Collector's Edition. The studio wanted to keep the statue under wraps because it contained a spoiler, but it felt like a clumsy decision, as it left those with pre-orders unsure exactly what they were buying.
Skip to now, a few weeks following the game's launch, and someone on Reddit has uploaded a few images of the item. So, what was the big spoiler that Insomniac didn't want us to see before release? Let's take a look. Final spoiler warning!
If it's not clear, our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is crouched on top of a defeated Sinister Six. You can make out elements from most of the villains: Electro, Scorpion, Rhino, Vulture, and Doctor Octopus are all visible in these images.

It's surprising how quiet this was kept.
I would love to buy this edition if it was available in my country.
Yes very satisfied and very detailed, I just wish I didn’t seen it kinda spoiled it for me seen dr octopus parts on the statue.
Honestly, that's kind of disappointing after all of the mystery surrounding it.
@Morenoj1220 They said early on not to look at the statue until you'd played the game. :shrug:
Also, the entire game was kind of leading up to that 'twist' with the mind-controlled prosthetics, so it wasn't much of a surprise once you knew who Peter was working for.
Spidey himself looks fine, but the trash pile looks meh.
looks good but they could have made a different statue if they worried about spoiling the game tbh.
kinda stupid to keep the statue hidden away untill the game's release.
also the only real spoiler is doctor octopus since we knew that we where going up against sinister six from the prison escape vid they showed before release.
@glassmusic once you open the box I couldn’t help it to see what it looks like. But oh well 😂 it was a great game.

I really didnt see it as a spoiler as doc oc is in most versions of the sinister six, and given the run of the story, its obvious from real early that he was going to develop the suit and become a villain. I dont think it would take spider sense to see that one coming.
I loved it that the put the warning upside down in the box. 😑
Didn't they already showed all the villains in the trailers? If so, I'm not sure how revealing the statue before the release date can be considered spoiler.
Anyways, the statue pose looks nice but the paint job looks rushed and kinda bad, imo. I think the one I saw in an unboxing video a few weeks ago was even worst than the images posted above.
If only US had the Special Edition as well. I really wanted that steelbook.
I buy the collector's edition is for the Steelbook.
