One of the hot topics among the Destiny community right now is the availability of Masterwork Cores. These items are necessary for infusion -- the process of powering up equipment that you like using. However, Masterwork Cores are currently very hard to find or farm, meaning that infusion is a costly decision to make.
Bungie says that its goal was to make infusion a more difficult choice, which it's certainly succeeded in doing. Before the release of Destiny 2: Forsaken, you could basically just infuse to your heart's content, but now that infusion is expensive, you have to carefully consider whether it's actually worth doing. In short, it makes the grind for your ideal loadout longer, but a little more varied since you'll be trying out different weapons and armour.
But as mentioned, Masterwork Cores are a incredibly rare to the point where even diehard players are having trouble stocking up, and fortunately Bungie agrees that they need to be more plentiful. In a developer update, it writes "We have been monitoring Core supplies and the numbers aren’t as high as we’d like. We are planning to create more reliable and plentiful Core sources." It continues: "We are going to rename Masterwork Cores so their purpose is more obvious."
Sound good? Get some infusion done in the comments section below.

I just know tha if I get another Edge Transit from a Powerful Engram I am gonna throw Destiny 2 dvd out of the window....
"Bungies idea was to make infusion a difficult choice" or along those lines, no it wasn't it was to make the grind worse off than before the release of Forsaken because they knew players would come and go in 2 weeks because it doesn't offer much to that player who's got nearly everything. I must say though o do love Gambit mode I like it slot
How about just admit your system for infusion sucks, and put it back to the way it was? Good Lord these people learn nothing from their mistakes.
The game that always needs fixing...Destiny 2
The amount of YouTube videos that show you how to by pass infusion with out using a masterwork core there's loads. They made the weapon upgrading a joke since Forsaken came out it sort of like makes you ask yourself "I haven't found one yet maybe if I buy the DLC it will unlock more around the maps because some if not all the weapons now require the latest content.
