Sad news for those still battling demons on their PlayStation 3: BioWare has confirmed that future downloadable content for Dragon Age: Inquisition will only be available on new-gen consoles. While the reasoning for this is unclear, we'd wager that it's to make development a little easier and quicker. What's more, the Canadian studio may want to push the limits with the role-playing game's upcoming content, so axing last-gen machines makes sense in this regard.
It's a bit of a blow for those of you who have completed your adventures on Sony's old home console, but there is still hope, even if it's costly. The title's newest patch allows for save transfer functionality across related platforms. This means that if you go out and grab a PlayStation 4 along with a copy of Inquisition, you'll be able to carry over your save data from your PS3 by uploading it, and then downloading it on your new system.
Does this effect you? How many hours have you sunk into BioWare's latest? Stare down a dragon in the comments section below.

I've put a bunch of time into the game with my first run. I started a second, but new games came out, then I doubted I'd ever play again and deleted it. If Somy would kindly allow external HDD support soon in the next major firmware, I'll gladly reinstall this and purchase the expansions. Hope they get on the ball with that soon! Kinda ridiculous how Xbox One and Wii U has it, yet Sony is still refusing to give me the convenience of external add-on storage. 😞
Bad news for PS3 owners, but I think if you're on the fence this is the year to upgrade. There are so many fantastic games coming in the next 12 months.
Lol if the game was cross buy, silly, have they sold any ps3 season pass type things or were they not available yet...
I still regret buying this game at full price... What is it these days with games releasing with so much hype which dies down 2 weeks later? Especially on this website.
