Free-to-play dungeon crawler Deep Down may not have been present for Sony's big E3 press conference, but rest assured, the Japanese giant hasn't forgotten about the game. A new trailer has recently been released which shows off various different locations in the title, narrated by an incredibly dramatic voice-over. This is definitely some serious business.
While there's nothing particularly new here, it does give us a rare glimpse at the game's Assassin's Creed-esque modern sections. However, if the clip has your hype meter going off the charts, we regret to inform you that the dungeon crawler still doesn't have a western release date. Speaking on Twitter, the title's producer Kazunori Sugiura reaffirmed that only a Japanese launch has been finalised.
Are you still excited for Deep Down, or is the free-to-play model scaring you off? What do you make of this new trailer? Sound off in the comments section below.

Really not liking the fact that there is no details of a western release or if this will ever get one. This is definitely a game I would like to play.
hmph
Well its in English. Maybe a good sign
Gorilla Games' new game/RPG, this game, and PlanetSide 2 was missing from Sony's E3 press conference... Why didn't they mention it?
Looks pretty good, might lose out to Witcher but id love to play this too.
If this game was a regular retail game, I'd be eagerly awaiting the announcement of the release date, but because of its f2p model I just can't seem to care. I think f2p on consoles isn't the way to go, I think they should take a more "episodical approach" with games like these where you sell another part of he story every 4 months. This way you keep the game fresh, but it doesn't look like the crappy DLC to which we are getting more and more used these days. Don't sell weird armor or ways to beat the game quicker, sell the people what they want: content. If the price is fair and the game good, people will most certainly come back for more. I would do it the Gillette/ Wilkinson way: get the players started for a small amount and once they're hooked, you start selling them expensive razor blades / new stories like there's no tomorrow.
@Mrskinner For some reason I was under the impression that this game was going to be F2P or free for PS Plus subscribers. Am I wrong?
@zeldagaymer93 Free 2 Play yes but only release schedule so far is for Japan. Nothing for the west yet
@RawWilson1 PlanetSide 2 was shown in the F2P montage, very brief so you might have missed it, plus I believe it's playable at the show floor.
@adf86 Thanks for that mate
Why F2P of mobile games is flooding consoles nowadays.. dark days...
@whywai88 why would having f2p games on console be dark days? As long as they are not p2w games I'm quite happy to see some free content
