Burn, baby, burn

Cutting the rope is way overrated. Didn’t you know that it’s all about burning the rope these days? Ringzero Game Studio has taken to the European PlayStation Blog to announce that its pick-up and play micro-game Burn the Rope is coming to the Vita next week.

Unsurprisingly, the game will find you burning ropes using a combination of touch and motion controls. “To start burning the rope you simply tap the touch screen wherever there is rope. Once the rope starts burning you can control the flame by rotating the screen,” explains Franck Blaevoet.

As you progress through the game, you’ll encounter bugs crawling along the ropes. “Different bugs react differently to the flame, but we are sure you guessed that already,” Blaevoet continues. “For instance, the ant changes the colour of the flame so you can burn different coloured ropes, and the spider shoots out a web bridge so you can access different parts of the rope.”

The full game will feature over 150 levels, and global leaderboards. It’ll set you back just £3.19/€3.99.
