2K’s announced that Irrational Games’ hotly anticipated BioShock follow-up, BioShock Infinite, will launch in North America on the 16th October. Europe will have to wait just a few additional days for the first-person shooter, when it releases overseas on the 19th October.
Creative director Ken Levine said:
After BioShock, we had a vision for a follow up that dwarfed the original in scope and ambition. BioShock Infinite has been our sole focus for the last four years, and we can't wait for fans to get their hands on it.
PS3 owners also get a bonus in the form of the original BioShock included on the Blu-ray disc for Infinite.
