PlayStation Vita Pre-Orders Scooping Up Huge Sums On eBay

After selling out at every online Japanese retailer, and then prompting queues of up to 1,000 people outside popular gaming stores, Sony's new handheld is in hot demand. And this is just the pre-order phase. There are still a couple of months to go until the PlayStation Vita's actually released onto store shelves.

With hot demand comes ferocious eBay auctions, and PlayStation Vita is already prompting people to part with silly sums of money. One auction over the weekend topped out at $1,011.94, while another hit $955.00. Madness.
