God Of War III Was Initially Pitched Through The Eyes Of Kratos.

Seriously. Art director Ken Feldman pitched the alternate perspective to game director Stig Asmussen early on into the game's development. He explains, "I tried unsuccessfully to convince Stig to make God of War III a first-person shooter. Unfortunately, he didn't see the genius in the idea."

And to be honest Ken, neither do we. We totally understand how ripping the head from Helios could be a ton more visceral in the first person — but what about that epic sense of scale God Of War is known for? How the hell would you achieve that in first person?
