Despite what we reported via Engadget yesterday, Sony has claimed that there is no plan to launch a patch to make all PS3 games 3D capable
While they are "conducting a technological investigation" to see if it's possible, it's certainly not in their plans yet.
It's probably more reasonable to assume that the 3D technology will come in the form of patches for existing games, and options in new titles.
