Final Fantasy XIII Will Max Out The Playstation Hardware.

Sure it's getting a US and European release on the XBOX 360, but it's still a PS3 game. Which means developer's Square Enix are committed to using all of the Playstation's power instead of "scaling down" in order to make it compatible for the XBOX 360 too.

When prompted about the Final Fantasy XIII demo in Japanese magazine Dengeki Playstation 3, producer Yoshinori Kitase said:

"Doesn't the demo use about 50 percent of its power? Of course, I think the retail version will make use of nearly 100 percent."</blockquote>

This is interesting because, we all know thanks to blu-ray and the Playstation's cell, there is a lot more raw power available on a Playstation 3. So what of the XBOX 360 version? It's going to be very interesting to see what happens. Not that we care too much; we'll be playing the Playstation 3 version, obviously.
