Are there any missable Trophies in The Last of Us 2? Compared to the original game’s Trophy list, its sequel is a cakewalk. Naughty Dog has ensured that whatever difficulty you choose, you’ll still be able to get the Platinum Trophy. But can you do it all in a single playthrough? And are there missable Trophies? The Last of Us 2: Are There Any Missable Trophies?

Technically you can unlock all of The Last of Us 2’s Trophies in a single playthrough, but you’ll need to get all of the collectibles and ensure you find enough spare parts and supplements to purchase all the weapon upgrades and learn all the player upgrades. More realistically, you’ll need to take advantage of New Game + to do this. The Last of Us 2 does have chapter select, but if you choose to replay a chapter earlier in the game, you won’t be able to revisit any of the ones after it – unless you load a different save. It should be noted that v1.05 adds two new Trophies to the game for completing it on Grounded and with Permadeath enabled. However, while these can be obtained in a single punishing playthrough, you don't need to complete them in order to unlock the Platinum as they're considered separate, DLC Trophies.
