Hey everyone!!

As a long-time Playstation fan, I confess that lately I've been thinking about the Playstation...and I've been worried. Obviously, the finances seem to be in good shape right now... but in a future after GTA VI/PS6 launch (initial enthusiasm), I think Sony will face enormous challenges. I'd like to discuss this here... to see if I'm not crazy.

> PS6 and handheld prices.

It's essential!! Sony will have to do everything possible to lower the prices... I know it's not easy, but Sony wants to sell the PS6 to the general public, right? It's not the time for arrogance.

> Hardware

Hardware that allows for easy scaling between versions (portable and home) to make life easier for developers. Facilitate the sharing of save files and game libraries between both consoles.

>The return of Playstation Stars.

It's an excellent addition to the trophies, and it also rewards the player for their purchases and time played. —

> Improve PS Plus to make it more essential for the player!!

I think we all wanted online play to be free, but that's not going to happen...it would be a tremendous risk if Sony suddenly lost millions and millions of subscribers. What I think is that Sony should maintain the price or lower it slightly (we are reaching a limit of what can be asked of the player) and offer more benefits than those it currently offers. It's necessary to make the service better and more attractive (especially the Premium level, which doesn't justify the price at the moment).

>Communication with fans.

I feel that Playstation is more distant from us (the most dedicated fans)...and I think that could hurt it in the long run. Return of the Playstation Experience? Bringing back remakes/remasters of beloved games (Infamous?...)

> Looking at Steam/Valve and Nintendo as direct competition.

Sometimes I hear that Playstation has no competition...sorry, but that's not true. If Sony doesn't see Steam and Nintendo as competition, it will have problems in the future. Having single-player exclusives again was a good decision...but more is needed!!

>Live services.

The elephant in the room!! I understand Sony's position!! But it will have to be something more focused, more focused on quality than quantity!! And without harming single-player games studios.

> And now, for me, the most important thing... THE GAMES !!

At this point, and considering the production cycles, I think the current number of Playstation studios isn't enough. Right now, the only studio that can do a good job in this area is Insomniac.

Furthermore, the Playstation game catalog suffers from a lack of variety... there's no FPS, no true RPG/JRPG, no arcade racing game, few family games, and other things. To make matters worse, the exclusivity with Square Enix games is ending, and marketing agreements with Capcom also seem to be ending... in other words, we're seeing some publishers moving away to dedicate themselves completely to multiplatform games.

Investment is needed!! I think Playstation needs to make one or two acquisitions and expand some studios. More exclusive great games need to be released per year (maybe 3 games). I'm not in favor of consolidation... but I think Playstation's survival is at stake in the medium/long term. We need more relevant IPs, we need to create enthusiasm and a strong desire for any gamer to own a Playstation (PlayStation needs to attract new generations of gamers, Nintendo and PC gamers)...and right now I think if Sony doesn't do something it could suffer a lot because of it.

Sony needs to have the same mindset it had with the PS One generation under Ken Kutaragi!

It needs to be bold and take some risks!

Tell me your opinion.
