Ghost of Tsushima PC

Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut has achieved Sony's fourth biggest PC release, with a peak 57,934 users playing the game at any one time yesterday. While the statistic cannot be used to reliably predict actual sales numbers on PC, it's clear the community has taken to the Sucker Punch Productions title on release day, with only Helldivers 2, God of War, and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered pulling higher concurrent player counts.

The top 10 highest concurrent player counts of all of Sony's PS5, PS4 to PC ports are as follows:

  1. Helldivers 2 — 458,709
  2. God of War — 73,529
  3. Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered — 66,436
  4. Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut — 57,934
  5. Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition — 56,557
  6. Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition — 40,462
  7. The Last of Us Part I — 34,496
  8. Days Gone — 27,450
  9. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales — 13,539
  10. Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection — 10,851

It seems unlikely anything else Sony ports to PC will ever be able to beat the record set by Helldivers 2, but when you filter the list down to single player games from the firm, Ghost of Tsushima is right up there near the top. Given the weekend is right around the corner, there's potential for the title to raise its peak player count in the next few days.

There has been a bit of light review bombing for the game from the PC audience, with almost 900 negative verdicts compared to more than 5,000 positive ones. Again citing the need for a PSN account to play the online co-op mode Legends, a lot of these negative reviews were made with 0.1 hours of playtime on their Steam account.
