If you have a PC (even a semi-decent PC) you can simply use PCSX2, which plays most PS2 games rather well. And if you are like me and have a HUGE library of PS2 games on disc, and don't want to purchase them TWICE (or even THREE times if you got suckered into the PS2 classics on PS3) — then PCSX2 is your best bet and best friend. It even supports Dualshock 3 & 4 controllers. Silly to purchase PS2 games multiple times! I despise, absolutely DESPISE Sony for this move. Just make WRAPPERS for PS2 disc games! Make a list of compatible PS2 games, and write downloadable wrappers (kinda like WINE for linux) — which would essentially be the same wrapper being used for the ps2-classics (not sure if they are truly ported on PS4 or not) — because on PS3, all PS2 classics were a simple wrapper with an encrypted ISO of the PS2 game.

Re: PSX 2015: How Good Do PS2 Games Look on the PS4?
Another fun-fact: PCSX2 allows you to upscale games to 4k (if you wanted resolution that stupidly high for a ps2 game lol)
