Re: Microsoft's AI Obsession Continues with Atrocious Copilot Version of Quake 2

@RiverGenie Agreed, this article is an incredibly weird take and the only angle I can think of is to stoke some weird console warring because it's Microsoft.

I have as much concerns about AI and gaming as most people but I'm open enough to seeing what's possible. I had a look at the tech demo and was actually impressed. Comparing to the performance running on a local instance is intentionally asinine.

Which was probably the point of the article. I never comment but this article annoyed me enough to do so. Good job by the writer.

Re: Poll: Can a Game's Brutal Difficultly Put You Off Playing It?

Absolutely. My actual life is already enough of a challenge, I don't need my gaming to be a challenge too.

Time availability certainly plays a role. In my youth, I had the time to hone my skills and tackle gaming challenges. Now, in my early 30s with a career, a partner, and two young children, the time and desire to improve my 'gaming skills' is just not there. I'd rather spend that time doing something more meaningful.

Hmm, I don't understand the hype for Astrobot. I couldn't complete the first game for motion sickness and the free game that came with the PS5...meh, my 3 year old child enjoyed it. I enjoy a decent Mario platformer so could pick up Astrobot in a sale or something.

Horizon Lego okay, might pick it up on the Switch - but with the backlog I have, unlikely.
