If a PS6 costs $1000 or more and they hope to sell to the hardcore gamers who spend lots of money. Wouldn't many of those same gamers just get a PC? Obviously they have the money to spend and fewer people will be playing on PS6 making it a less popular platform to play on. Sony doesn't make enough exclusives anymore and third party exclusives are a thing of the past This plan reeks of desperation.
@Nexozi But PC has numerous storefronts and key resellers creating competition. Sony will now have a completely captive market. They will be just like Nintendo, rarely putting games on sale and for much smaller discounts. The comparison to PC is nonsense.
Remember when everyone here celebrated PlayStation making their games exclusives even when that doesn't affect PlayStation players in any way? Remember when this site published an article about whiny PC gamers complaining about PlayStation exclusives? Exclusives on one platform lead to other platforms responding in kind. The celebration of exclusives for your platform and complaining about exclusives on other platforms is so hypocritical and petty. End exclusives and release games on all platforms so everyone can play them is the true answer.
