I have always liked Dinklebot. From day 1 I thought he did a great job considering what he had to work with. The dialogue was pretty bad, but he gave us a robot that slowly became more emotional as the story progressed, which made sense given that it probably learned more of humanity after bonding with its guardian. I never understood all the hate I read about online, and I never actually played the game with anyone who didn’t like the ghost’s voice.
I reserve full judgment until TTK actually releases and I hear more lines, but so far I still much prefer Dinklebot, and so does everyone else I play with. Before, I felt like I had a guide, someone helpful, knowledgeable, and someone who had fought right there alongside me. Now I feel like I’ve got a 12yo tagging along behind me. That one line when you land on Patrol in the Cosmodrome where North says something like, “The Cosmodrome ... someday we’ll reclaim this place, right?” UGH, it kills me.
