I used to have a mobile phone that had a psp in it! Same style, you slid the phone up to reveal the controls. This was many years ago. This new device looks pretty much exactly the same, but likely without the phone usage! Nice reiteration, it takes me back to my yoof!
I prefer physical copies for a number of reasons, I only buy digital if it isn't physically available, or if it's just a game I fancy but am not raving about. I am aware my kind is a dying breed with the heavy forceful shove towards digital, but if you are offering a physical copy I expect the game to be on the disc, not a glorified voucher! It's disgusting. I would refuse to buy a copy of any kind if that's their practice! If it has to be downloaded digitally regardless then just don't bother with a physical copy!
@Porco I'm in the minority that really loved 13-2 and 10-2 and 12, I suppose I'm just either easily pleased or less judgemental, maybe both. I like to take each game for what it is without expectations. I find that if I have expectations and they're not met it spoils the experience for me! I dunno, so far it's only unnecessary super hard difficulty (Elden Ring), guns (pick a modern game), and sports that don't appeal.
I personally loved the game, considering I usually don't enjoy sci-fi games this was an achievement! I think that when you have a franchise as popular as Final Fantasy, it's impossible to please all players. I personally think the onus is actually on the gamer to take each game as it is and rather than condemn it for the things you don't like, praise the things you do like. I didn't enjoy that there was no overworld or that it was so linear, but the adventure I did get was really enjoyable and spoke to me of social inequalities we have had for decades and gave me somewhere I could fight against it where I'm powerless in reality. It was great to have a female protagonist for a change after the many male protagonists of previous games, and if an Australian accent is a deal breaker it really says more about the person than the game. It's ok to be disappointed if it didn't meet your expectations, but that doesn't make it a terrible game, just maybe not the best in the series for you, and that's ok
Nah, once again a piss poor selection. I wouldn't be bothered if the poor selections and great selections were on even footing but the great ones are few and far between. Speaking solely for myself and to my particular interests
It's about time developers stopped making games intentionally difficult. Not everyone wants the stress. As long as they provide a difficulty option for players to choose easy, normal, and hard for example, it's all good. Giving gamers an easier difficulty option only welcomes more players who would otherwise be excluded. Need to do away with elitism in gaming! (Waits for 'git good' to get spammed)
Absolutely would buy one! Will say this though; Sony would need to put lots of focus and weight behind development of AAA games for the console, it would need to be THE place to create Indie titles, it would need the best resolution and largest screen size they can manage on a handheld, it would need a top notch battery that doesn't run out after an hour, and the best processor they can shove in it! But foremost for me is dedicated AAA games for it, as I think that's largely where Vita fell short. I still have and play my Vita, but it wasn't well supported for big games
Oh PS1, my first love! Loved Koudelka, wanna see it spruced up n re-released. Legend of Dragoon/Legaia/Kartia all great. Vagrant Story awesome. I'll admit I did squee when I saw Xena come up. Now THAT would be a fun re-release
May be in the minority here but I love this game, XIII-2 was better and Lightning Returns I struggle with, keep trying and can't get into it.
Would still buy them if remade or remastered, remade would be better since they could remove the linearity from it. Before all that though, I would ask for FF9 remake or FF8 at a push
I never played the original but I'm down to play. Sounds like a really fun system. I would prefer a Shadow Hearts re-release with Koudelka as well but I'll take Phantom Brave, yeah boy!
Speaking only for myself and what I'm into, super poop lot again, I pay for premium and get budget so I'm allowed to say 'nope, crap'! Each to their own though, I may not want it but doesn't actually make the titles crap, just crap for me
Meh, I might give Tunic a go but otherwise it's dull. If pS Plus Premium was much lower it'd be great. For as much as it is PlayStation needs to do hella lot better to make it worth it
There are rarely any games on ps plus that I'm keen to play, so any month where there's even 1 game I'm interested in is a good month. There were several Star Ocean games couple months ago and now there are some Tales Of games so that's good (except I have them all already on disc but still good for those who don't have them)
@Barry_vV I would disagree with you on the difficulty aspect. I'm not as able as other people physically so my reaction times and ability to hit buttons and stuff is reduced, and I rely on easier difficulty to play any game. For those reasons I appreciate this game more. But I understand some others prefer a far more challenging experience.
It would only really make sense to do this if there are dedicated games for the console. I can't see anybody ignoring their ps5or6 for a lower capability handheld! I'd still get one but would want to see dedicated AAA games designed for it
Legend of anf Secret Of Mana are the only remotely interesting titles here. £120 a year we should be getting better titles. Game Pass can do it so why not PSPlus?
@CWill97 I'd start with Integrity and Faithlessness, its a pretty cool game, just misses on a few very minor things but fun overall, Divinity Force would be game 2 and then the retro ones just for fun coz why not. I like the series on par with the Tales Of series. They're no Final Fantasy but if they're on offer then why not? 🤘
I am a SO fan so this is best lineup I've seen in a while for me. I get to play some of the franchise's titles I missed before. And I can give Nier a chance, and a couple of other titles on there. I don't do hating really so I won't say anything unkind, but I would encourage Sony to look at older ignored titles, like obviously Koudelka and Shadow Hearts games, Legend of Legaia games, Legend of Kartia, maybe see if they can get licensed to put up the Magna Carta games and White Knight Chronicles Origins from PSP. Just some thoughts

@LifeGirl 😂😂 the sarcasm is on fire
Re: Microsoft Is Investigating Why Devs Are Prioritising PS5 Over Xbox
Of course it has nothing to do with a host of rabid studio closures and many many thousands put out of employment
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Black Myth: Wukong?
Not a soulslike fan, it's like when I see MMORPG in a description, immediately puts me off

Loved it, played all the way through to the final chapter in one sitting. I hope there's some post-game content to do

@bindiana what kind of game is it may I ask? I've been considering it before now. Should I watch gameplay on Twitch first you reckon?
