This top 10 accounts for maybe what, a third of the total player base? And then another third probably only play the top 20 including all the sports and racing games.
People who read this site probably don't need a reminder that they're in a minority, but I imagine that Sony's cut from all of the core game sales still make up a decent portion of their bottom line. They should chase the live service trend, but they shouldn't have to torpedo a bunch of quality studios to do it.
@Neither_scene What I found remarkable about U4 is how mundane it is. Intentionally so. This is a series that was known for its bombast adventure and elaborate set pieces, and rather than lean into that, it focuses on quieter moments to develop grounded relationships and a story about aging and letting go of the past. As an older gamer, this Uncharted hits the hardest for me.
@themightyant The difference is simply that the Uncharted 4 shakeup was much more drastic. If a director is replaced due to a bad version of the game and someone else steers the ship in a completely different direction, that's just more extreme a change than what most projects undergo. Plus, Amy Hennig was a big name at Naughty Dog, which is one of the best studios in the world, so that adds weight to the story.
I prefer playing on PC (sorry everyone) and now I'm starting to sweat that trophy support for some existing PC games will be patched out. Losing the double pop would be a sad day in my dumb life.

Re: Bring Down a Ring of Gold Diggers in PS5, PS4's Most Controversial Game Yet
We haven't played it and don't know if it will get delisted, but you'd better play it before it gets delisted.
Re: One Player Just Unlocked PlayStation's Impossible Platinum Trophy
Going Platinum can be summarized as "super easy plats so I figured why not"
Re: Classic Turok Game Upgraded for PS5 with New Features and Fixes
Hmmm, no platinum on the PS5 version either. That's disappointing considering Turok 2 and 3 have plats.
