@JapaneseSonic I had to create an account, follow the verification link, then find this article and comment again JUST so I could cosign it. The people posting "but what really IS hate speech?" with a pretend skull in their hands are trolls operating in bad faith attempting to muddy the water enough to distract from the original issue. Every one on this thread knows what hate speech is. Just because you want to use it with impunity is not a legitimate case that any of us are obligated to take seriously.
Also, if you can't extract conservatism from hate speech, then the solution is to better your conservatism, not reduce everyone else's minimum standards.
