It’s funny, all the ppl complaining about Abby who fail to see the parallels between her character and Ellie’s...! I found these similarities quite striking, as I’m sure, was the intention. Imagine if Abby had been the protagonist right from the beginning of the franchise: how would we feel about Ellie and Joel then? And Ellie’s hatred and need for revenge actually far exceeded Abby’s, bc Abby was able to let go of her hatred not once, but twice, while Ellie kept the cycle going. I loved this theme of how revenge is a cycle and no one actually wins! It’s about putting yourself in another’s shoes and seeing things from a different perspective and this really resonated with me. I was blown away by this game and how it made me think and feel and I have nothing but praise for it. The graphics and gameplay were sick! Effing incredible.
