This article really misses the point. Look at every single game/developer announced as a timed exclusive. Every single one was AA at best, most were indie. Chances are these guys did not have the budget to finish their game, or could use the money to polish and improve. Can you tell me the same about destiny and call of duty? You think Activision ran out of money and ran to Sony for help? There's a huge difference in philosophy about exclusives. Yes, both companies want to help themselves. But what Sony does ONLY helps Sony and it's at the expense of gamers. They way microsoft does it, helps developers and gamers. Developers get a bigger budget, gamers get to play on gamepass, and when the games do come to ps, they are better versions than they would have been without Microsoft. Can you name the last AAA game microsoft bought exclusivity for since tombraider? Sony ONLY pays publishers and developers that dont need it, just to keep away from xbox, not to help the game along.
