Re: Hardware Review: PS Vita Slim - Screen if You Wanna Go Faster

JustAnotherUser

@MadchesterManc Exactly.
Another thing that has been bothering me is that if people want to know how the LCD looks, why not look at direct feed video or screen shots on your PC..
The likelihood is that you have a LCD LED backlit monitor, so the Vita would probably look better, if anything at all, due to IPS.

Not that I'm saying that one is better than the other. It would be like trying to say banana cake is better than chocolate cake.
It comes down to personal preference but the difference isn't as obvious as everyone is saying.
When changing from one colour temperature to another it feels like the newer temperature is worse because one is not used to it.
(Think high FPS films)

I like the new revision for the most part.
I don't like the 1GB of on board memory as that says they have no intention of addressing the extortionate memory card price. That and you get a sheet of AR cards instead of actual individual cards and we don't get a variety of colours.
The price will probably drop after a while and will end up being cheaper than the current Vita model.

@MadchesterManc Pretty much this. I prefer natural colours rather than "bright and vibrant" (over-saturated, not that it doesn't look good) colours. Although it comes down to personal preference.

Re: PlayStation Vita Slim Weighs Down UK Retail from 7th February

Such a shame.
I was hoping to buy this model over the original.
I'm not going to spend over £230 on a Vita slim when I can get more by paying £154.99 for a Vita and 10 games with a 16GB memory card.
Which is a shame really, I was really looking forward to the better screen (for me) and all the other improvements.
