@Enriesto Nintendo acquiring square enix? No, I believe Sony would be the most likely to actually pull it off as they have the financial resources and can make a case on how it wouldn’t be that big of a deal as big SE games are already exclusive to the PlayStation brand thus acquiring them won’t change anything, and then once they do it they can make other huge games exclusive to the PS brand like the Nintendo holy grail that is Dragon quest
If Sony wants to leave a mark in Japan they need to acquire square enix, to me it seems like it’s going to happen next year but this is what I see as a way to turn the Japanese market around

Or maybe the Japanese bough a PS5 to play f2p games like fortnite and Apex??? Or maybe consider the fact that PlayStation sales are mostly digital now
