As a long time Battlefield fan, I've played Battlefield since BF1942 and my favourite previous BF game was Bad Company 2, for me BF6 is an easy 8/10 I can't stop playing it
It is nice to just have a good modern day setting battlefield game again that actually is really good. I've not played the singleplayer but I also don't really care about SP I don't think Battlefield actually needs singleplayer. But the multiplayer is great, the maps are fun to play there is a good variety of playstyles in the maps there is a good variety in game modes
The launch weapon lineup is small which in my opinion is a positive as it means they were able to focus more on each individual weapon and indeed each gun has a unique feel to it rather than there just being very many weapons but all feeling very much the same or where just a few are good and the rest are useless
There are some launch issues to fix still but honestly nothing too game breaking at least not that I've encountered in my 40 hours of playing multiplayer since the game released
All in all an easy 8/10 that will likely become even better post release
I was hyped about Ghost of Tsushima since they revealed it at E3 as a PS exclusive and it did not disappoint when it finally hit PC. Definitely among my all time favourites
Ghost of Yotei so far looks like another Ghost of Tsushima but with new gameplay improvements and innovations so yeah I really can't wait to play it
I also don't really get the backlash either like if you've played Ghost of Tsushima you'd know the characters are always grounded characters and that's exactly what Yotei seems to be as well so it shouldn't really be much of a shock to anyone who has played Tsushima
I'm also glad it is a new protagonist and I also prefer the gender swap just because it allows a very different story to be told. I don't think there was much more to be done with Jin Sakai he had two very perfect endings and at most you could possibly provide a larger epilogue as a standalone expansion or something but you definitely would not be able to do a full fledged game with Jin as his story was complete and anything they would have done would have just ruined it for the players
And yes they could have gone for another male protagonist, but then they would have been criticised too much for it being a worse Jin or a cheap Jin knock-off. So changing the gender of the protagonist was a smart move
I was super hyped for the game and was even planning on pre-ordering it that was until I saw the price of it. The release price is simply extortionate I also don't understand why American published games have all suddenly gotten their regional pricing messed up. The point of regional pricing is to adjust prices based on local disposable income so countries with less disposable income are meant to have lower prices than countries with higher disposable income. But for some reason many American published games now price UK higher than most other countries in the world. I don't know if they forgot how to do maths or are under the delusion that UK is wealthier than it is but Doom Dark Ages is 70 USD in USA but in UK it is 70 GBP which is 95 USD
Even at 70 USD it is too much for a singleplayer game but at 95 that's just insanity
