Been playing Croc: Legend Of The Gobbos - Platinum Edition the past few nights, a world each evening and been enjoying it. Despite the controls being modernised it's still a fairly challenging platformer!
I'm feeling the itch of playing a JRPG however so I might finally crack open my copy of Metaphor Refantazio
I finished my first run of Silent Hill f last week and I need to take a little break from it before going back in for more.
But I don't wanna stop the survival horror train either so I'll be playing some Crow Country for a more retro take on the genre before picking up my trusty iron pipe once again~!
Granted I only played Ghost Of Tsushima for about ten/fifteen hours before dropping it (and this had nothing to do with why I dropped it) but I found Jin as interesting as beige wallpaper.
Holy moly I don't think I've seen anyone else express that similar opinion in regards to Persona 5 @Don_Quixote227. I've felt like a crazy person for years not liking P5 at all
Here's hoping you enjoy Persona 3 it's my personal favourite of the series~!
Digimon Story: Time Stranger I finished this the other day and what a crazy ride. Really had a good time with it. Easily the best digimon game so far and a fun JRPG in general with some surprisingly dark and very touching moments throughout.
However now it's back to Silent Hill f just in time for spooky month~!
A rather eclectic mix of Silent Hill F and Digimon Story: Time Stranger
Just got past the first proper boss fight in SH. Having a great time with it. Actually really enjoying the combat with it's slower, more deliberate pace.
As for Digimon I've found Minervamon again and presumably I'm not too far off from entering the digital world now~!
Hopefully this does well commercially and proves to Bamco that Digimon games are actually worth investing in and give the team more budget and freedom to do what they want with future games!
There's so much content in it. The create a character, character customisation, the weird (but fun) chronicles of the Sword strategy mode. Not to mention a ridiculous amount of fighters including Tira's introduction into the series~!
The demo was absolutely easy as pie. The health regain mechanic (Kinda like Nioh's ki pulse) meant I never had to use a single health restorative. And I'm like the most average Souls player.
Plus the combat felt janky on the whole. Not particularly great. The twin axes felt better then the sword featured in all the key art.
It's a very retro themed weekend for me as I'll mainly be playing Deltarune and finishing up chapter 4. Having an absolute blast with it~!
My physical copies of Lunar Remastered Collection and Final Fantasy I-VI Anniversary Edition arrived today too so I may give them a little whirl later on~
I'm glad Raidou is not only getting a second chance but the combat system was overhauled to make it actually enjoyable to play as it REALLY needed it. No boring 3 hit sword combo or dinky pistol!
Now Atlus maybe bring over the Digital Devil Saga duology too whilst you're at it? 👀
I mean I get it, like a tv series revival... But I would've thought Persona 4 Re-Run or (My personal favourite) Persona 4 Retuned would've fit the TV theme better~
It looks incredibly rough and was announced way too early. Or at least they should NOT have shown this alpha footage or whatever it is of gameplay. Incredibly bad call on their part.
Shame. For as much flak as people give Yosuke (and most of it rightly deserved) as P4's "bro" character there was no denying Yuri was absolutely amazing in the role.
Troy Baker as Kanji is VERY iconic too... I feel especially bad for whomever has to try and fill his shoes.
By Azura, by Azura, by Azura! I'm playing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered!
14 hours in and I'm already level 12, having pocketed over 5000 gold! But have only been through five dungeons thanks to being an utter loot goblin and having to make several trips to and fro.
Made a Redguard for the first time in an Elder Scrolls game and I think she looks rather good!
I played the PS2 version of Raidou back in the day and I loved pretty much everything about it... Aside from the combat system which was pretty damn terrible.
The fact you've got two demons at a time (Which was only in the sequel) and it seems to have actual combat mechanics for Raidou beyond a 3 hit sword combo means this might actually be playable
Totally wasn't the fact that the project had been restarted 3 different times over the 8/9 year long cycle to release, lost a lot of the original staff, vision and leadership it was supposed to have with Veilguard having to use the remains of the "Live Service" version of the game to get itself over the finish line.
Finally feeling better so I'm back to playing Baldur's Gate III and have pretty much finished all of Act 1. I'm just making sure I haven't missed anything in the underdark before crossing the ebonlake.
Having a grand old time. I've ended up romancing Karlach who's just an absolute sweetheart. Though Shadowheart was rather tempting too...
I would be playing Baldur's Gate III (I finally made it to the Goblin camp after clearing out the rest of the first act's map) but unfortunately I've caught a rather nasty bug that has made the past few days rather miserable to be honest.
I'm not surprised to hear that @GuttyYZ. I spent about 150 hours on Larian's previous game Divinity Original Sin II (Which I also loved) and BG III just seems to be even more dense then that.
Never got around to messaging you back last week as my week was HECTIC but whenever you get around to cracking open your collector's edition of BGIII @KilloWertz be sure to give me a bell in the forums or whatever. I'll probably still be chipping away at it given the pace I'm going at
I'm from the UK too and have got the exact same thing with CQL (With the actual delivery by royal mail). Don't suppose you know how long you had to wait from getting that email for it to be then actually shipped?
Like I said been a week now for me with nothing happening at all with it just stuck in their warehouse apparently. Found a reddit thread of all things with a lot of other folks stuck in the same position as me...
@AndyKazama Are you from/in the UK by any chance? I've had the tracking website off of Larian (After sending me an email with the digital goods and saying most orders in Europe had already shipped) but it hasn't updated anything for an entire week 😥

I have no idea what anyone sees in him.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 602
@Sulleymonster I'd initially went with hard but after two hours or so I decided to put it down to story.
I think it's a bit of a misleading name as the monsters still do a decent amount of damage... You just don't die in 2/3 hits like you do in hard 😅

How absolutely repugnant.
Good thing I don't buy anything from EA anyway~!

Soul Calibur 3 for me!

Re: Mega Man, NiGHTS to Join the Roster of Sonic Racing CrossWorlds on PS5, PS4
Please Sega let there be some other Atlus representatives besides Joker I'm begging you, they're so much more then just Persona 5!
Come on! I'll even take just Jack Frost or something!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 598
I'll be playing the demos for Digimon Story: Time Stranger and Tormented Souls 2 this weekend.
I'm glad Digimon has some budget put behind it at last as Bamco have seriously been cheapskates with it for the longest time.
I'll check out Tormented Souls 2 this evening so I get those spooky vibes in full force.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone~!
Re: Danganronpa 2 Remake Extends the Story with a New Scenario on PS5
... WHAT?!?! 😮
Where did this come from?! Was this in the Nintendo direct?!
Either way I'm ecstatic! This is my favourite in the series!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 597
I'll be playing Silksong and the Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls beta.
Had my first online match in Tokon... Won a very surprising 3-0 (I'm not that good at fighters at all) and my opponent just up and left!
I'll be back to Silksong later, maybe try some other pathways before getting my ass handed to me by the boss in Greymoor for the umpteenth time.
Have a good weekend everyone~!
Re: Review in Progress: Hollow Knight: Silksong (PS5) - A Silky Smooth Sequel Proving Well Worth the Wait
@Dom_31 I think Team Cherry have spent so much time refining this they've completely forgotten what your average players gameplay skill is!
Having every boss deal 2 masks worth of damage is a real pain.
The boss in Greymoor is kicking the ever living daylights outta me 😓
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Hollow Knight: Silksong?
Already fought the tutorial boss~! I'm so pumped!
Re: Check Your Inbox! Beta Codes for PS5's Promising Superhero Fighter Are Being Sent Out

Never got a code though and I'll presumably get one nearer the date. Just had to confirm and register that I'll take part...
Re: Hell Is Us (PS5) - One of the Best Mystery Experiences on PS5
Combat was tough? Were we playing the same game?
The demo was absolutely easy as pie. The health regain mechanic (Kinda like Nioh's ki pulse) meant I never had to use a single health restorative. And I'm like the most average Souls player.
Plus the combat felt janky on the whole. Not particularly great. The twin axes felt better then the sword featured in all the key art.
The exploration is fine but it's nothing special.
Really don't get the buzz for this at all.
Re: Expect to Pay $20 for Hollow Knight: Silksong on PS5, PS4
Will happily buy it both digitally and physically~!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 588
After finishing Deltarune's currently released chapters I've began taking a look at
Which is a Shin Megami Tensei 1 & 2 inspired first person dungeon crawling rpg... But with Touhou characters.
Played only about an hour of it so but it's pretty good so far despite knowing absolutely nothing about Touhou~
Though... My first demon/party member is a girl in a bucket?
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend~! Happy gaming!
Re: Danganronpa Creator's Switch, PC Game World's End Club Poised for PS5 Port
Are you actually kidding me? Not a port for The Hundred Line - Last Defense Academy the game that's actually good and well recieved...
But World's End Club instead?! What cursed timeline is this?!
Re: These 10+ New PS5, PS4, PS Plus Games Are Coming Out This Week (30th-6th July)
I have absolutely zero knowledge of Touhou but Dreams of Arcadia is heavily inspired by Shin Megami Tensei 1 & 2 and actually looks pretty cool.
Didn't think it'd get a PlayStation port so I might grab that!

Re: Round Up: Digimon Story Time Stranger Previews Are Super Positive, Set to Be a Surprise Hit on PS5
I'm so pumped for Time Stranger! Loved Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's memory and Survive was good too despite it's flaws.
Thank god Bandai-Namco is giving the Digimon team an actual budget this time!

Shame. For as much flak as people give Yosuke (and most of it rightly deserved) as P4's "bro" character there was no denying Yuri was absolutely amazing in the role.

Re: GEX Trilogy Revives a Forgotten PS1 Mascot from 16th June

Hard Pass.
Danny John Jules was great as Gex in the UK version of Deep Cover Gecko. Honestly one of the best parts about it.

Re: Poll: Are You Playing Oblivion Remastered?
I gave in to the hype and bought it as soon as, couldn't help myself!
Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game and I really love it (Unlike Skyrim). The remaster looks amazing and seemingly runs pretty well too~!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 576
I'll be playing Hogwarts Legacy over the weekend. Being a new 5th year witch that's joined Hogwarts and was sorted into Hufflepuff.
I was going to chose another house but figured I might as well roll with it, especially as it seems to be the house everyone forgets about.
Been having a good time so far, exploring the castle and the surrounding areas.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Mass Effect 2
I'm almost done with my first playthrough of it. Like ME1 that I played around October I'm pleasantly surprised at how much I'm enjoying it.
Have a good weekend everyone!

I would be playing Baldur's Gate III (I finally made it to the Goblin camp after clearing out the rest of the first act's map) but unfortunately I've caught a rather nasty bug that has made the past few days rather miserable to be honest.
So I'll just be in bed recuperating.

Still playing through Baldur's Gate III
Haven't even explored half of Act 1's map and I've already spent 15 hours on the damn thing.
I've got a party of Karlach, Shadowheart & Astarion and having a ball.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 554
Finally started Baldur's Gate III in the week with a Lolth sworn Drow who's a Warlock having a pact with a Great Old one.
Having a great time with it so far, I'm loving the companions so far and hoping to get some decent playtime in over the next few days.
Have a good weekend everyone!

Playing Mass Effect for the very first time. Only done the prologue mission but it's pretty decent so far.
