I have no problem with digital but begrudge paying full RRP for them when there is zero manufacture or distribution cost. Spiderman 2 for £69.99 or I paid £58 day 1 at Argos. This year Space Marine 2 sold out physically after 2 or 3 days at launch for about 5 weeks and I missed the boat on that. Not sure if they didn't anticipate physical demand, the game sold better than they thought or what but I held strong and bought it for about £60 5 weeks later when they finally came back in stock. I don't even buy used games as I like to support the industry. I rarely sell my physical games to even get the money back but I don't like being ripped off even for convenience. I have gigabit Internet so downloads are super fast but I only buy digital games heavily discounted, typically when they are £25 and under. I'm still patiently waiting for disc drives to come back in stock to put in my 30th anniversary slim. Still using my OG PS5 and finishing my disc games at the moment. While there is clearly less demand for physical, there is obviously a demand for the disc drives. No way am I paying £140+ to some scalper which is what they are selling for on ebay. Even £99 feels like Sony are having my pants down haha. It's been 4 months of waiting but I am patient and stubborn man!
@elvisfan1 I still buy physical because it is always cheaper than digital for new games. Spiderman 2 was £69.99. I bought it day 1 from Argos for £58! I tend to buy digital for games £30 and under but begrudge spending full RRP for a digital version.
