@Olmaz yeah there’s a lot if false equivocating going on. I own a series x but sony is by far my preferred platform, and it’s they’ve slowly cultivated this true family of devs that basically runs the AAA single-player narrative driven market. Zeni-Max was a real competitor for a long time, and I do really like Machine, iD and Arkane, but let’s face it, BGS fell off big time with 76. I enjoyed fallout 4 but man could you feel the creation engine’s age. I’ll check out starfield but i’m not anywhere near as excited for that as I am for GoW:R, H:FW, etc. its not even my most anticipated bethesda published game as ive really enjoyed what machine and id have been doing far more than bgs. Basically, there’s alsways going to be an issue with going out and overnight buying your reputation. Now Xbox can claim to be a big player in single-player narrative driven games! In the end, really i feel like its a 7.5 billion dollar investment inti gamepass, and im sure you could argue the merits of that. I just respect sony a lot more. Cultivating relationships and developing an identity are not easy things to do. Obviously its much easier to just buy your way into the club.
I was 100% against this being anything to do with kojima until i saw the whole putting hideo in google translate fron English or Japanese to turkish gets you the last name of the supposed game director. If thats a coincidence thats a pretty damn big coincidence. Then theres all the weird stuff that doesn't add up like the app, the logo, the website, the fact that they say both the games in early development and that its coming out this year. Even if its not kojima, something is going on. I dont think this game is what it claims to be. To the person who said kojima wouldnt use the same ruse twice is actuaoly forgetting this would be the third time using a fake studio. And i dont know i think the low quality of the teaser is one of the biggest red herrings. It just reeks to me of being purposely bad. If i eat my words thats no big deal. I just find it hard to believe that sony would let that see the light of day. We’re talking about the pinnacle of quality here.
Wow, so this is such an interested my game. I first started thinking something was off when you find the scout logs and computer logs that refer to Selene not passing the required tests or whatever it was. It sure seemed like they were saying she didn’t become an astronaut. It’s really interesting, with the thought that the entire thing is a construct of her mind, and even though it’s a pretty worn cliche, i thought it worked in this context. I absolutely loved this game. Brutal as all hell, but amazing. I like how open the story is for interpretation. I feel like there’s certainly some “we are all doomed to become our parents” or “repeat our parents mistakes” in there. The whole Selene is the driver of the vehicle that hits Selene the astronaut is one I gotta think about. But as a meditation on guilt and what we/our minds are capable of, I thought this trope actually worked. I really hope all you players we are struggling or thinking of quitting, just stick with it. It’s so great because certain things you get just completely change the dynamic of the game
@Northern_munkey man I spent a while on that, and I’m sure every person who reads this says the sane thing. You’ll get it. Movement and patience is the key. Genichiro is the first crucible, but man that ape is trouble for so many.
@carlos82 ah thanks man, yeah it doesn’t surprise me that maybe people are being a bit harsh on Xbox, especially here. I don’t know much about specs so I get caught up in rumors and speculation more than I’d like to admit.
So you really think the series s is going to be able to push 120? Like I said I really don’t know much about this stuff, but 120, ray tracing, does it seem like a given that it’s finna have ah ssd? I mean given the size of the console and the fact they’re calling it next gen means not putting an ssd in there could be a death sentence, yeah? But 299 for all that seems insanely good. But then part of me thinks god if I’m going to drop 300 on it I might as well just say eff it and buy the series x as my secondary or third console. Games wise and just because I love what they do, I don’t see PS ever being supplanted by anyone. The switch will remain my true secondary for several reasons. Better exclusives than Xbox and portability and character and charm. I’ve never been the guy who freaks out over frame rate unless it’s noticeably unstable. I’d never pick a consumer based solely on frAme rates. ***** even the whole 12 vs 10 t-flop thing means very little to me. I really wish Xbox updated their controller. I’m still using my third elite 1 on my one x (first two...I’ll give you Xbox one guess)I do actually like the series x console I’m a bigger fan of simple design. I love the Ps4 pro one of my fav console designs. But everywhere else Sony seems to be hitting home runs with hardware. I don’t dislike the console it’s just so different. Controller looks like it has potential to be my favorite ever. Anyways I’ll stop rambling. Figured if I just keep talking and talking maybe pre-order news would eventually drop haha

@dark_knightmare2 I def agree. Reading that the series s iss going to be basically just another iteration of the Xbox One - if that’s true mind you, it damn well better be only 300 dollars! I feel like it explains even more about the Halo Infinite trailer we saw. Never mind last gen holding it back, it looks like next gen might be as well! It sounds like I’m just a hater, but I want Xbox to have a strong showing. Nothing at this point is going to dissuade me from getting a PS5 first, but I’m all about both consoles being the best they can be for what they do. I was really hoping the series s would be more comparable to the PS5 DE. If they had just done a disc less series x for 349 I think there’s a good chance that would undercut Sony, and who knows maybe the series s will do really well with casual gamers, but come on if it were me I’d still shell out the likely extra hundred for a ps5 DE. We’ll have to wait and see what the actual specs are for series s. But I agree it’s sounding like an Xbox One X.1S Series BoomBox Speaker looking thing. Now I’m sure it’ll have the SSD and ray tracing and all that, which they’re going to claim is what makes it next-gen. We’ll have to wait and see what’s up. Maybe I’ll eat my words. I would ,love to see a strong showing that really makes both companies up their games. We’ll see what ps does with NOW cause imo games pass is the only area that Microsoft really hit it out of the park, but I also don’t think it’s all that better than Now in 2020. Vs Launch Now, of course. I personally prefer most of the games in Now, though GP has its moments where there’s as many as 10 games I would otherwise have bought eventually. Jesus I’m rambling. The heat here in LA/CA mixed with the info drought has made my brain turn to mush!

Am I freaking out that today I don’t know the price or the exact release date, Jesus Christ no. It’s a safe bet they will both be announced before you can buy it. I’m just so happy we’re at this time again I just can’t find it in myself to be bothered by anything PS related. I know people will come back at me like, they’re a company with customers and they aren’t being customer friendly!!! Oh Frankie, it must be nice not to worry if you have the money! I mean I think we can all pretty much estimate a price. Do what I did, prepare for it to be 1000 dollars and be presently surprised when its less. I just look at all the people bitching and I’m like, come on gals and guys, the ***** PS5 is about to come out! The ***** ps5! After how hard this year is, all I can possibly have is joy when I think of that!
