@TrollOfWar That's a very fair assessment, and your opinion is absolutely valid! I think it probably comes down to what you're looking for in a game. Personally, I quite enjoy that old-school NES/SNES Zelda-style gameplay, so the exploration, dungeon crawling and slightly clunky mechanics have a certain nostalgic charm for me. I can completely understand why they might feel like a slog by today's standards, though!
@ilyn I found that when I was going for the platinum in the summer that putting the note speed at 1 for me was harder than putting it somewhere in the 3-4 area. I'm usually pretty competent at rhythm based mini games, but I agree that does indeed need to go in the ocean.
@TrollOfWar Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen? I see you have impeccable taste! That's my favourite one in the series followed by Soul Reaver. For a game that came out in 1996, I still think the voice acting and world-building are among some of the best I've ever experienced.
This weekend, I'll be revisiting one of the original Resident Evil games for my annual Halloween gaming ritual, most likely Resident Evil 2.
After that, I'll continue walking the path in The Witcher 3, steadily working towards that elusive Platinum trophy by hopefully finishing White Orchard. Somewhere along the way, I'll also kick off Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order for a bit of a change of pace.
