One of 2027's weirdest yet most intriguing releases, Stranger Than Heaven from Yakuza team RGG Studio, has shared a deep dive into the PS5 game's first act, explaining what the opening hours of the experience will entail.

With the game split across five different eras (1915, 1929, 1943, 1951, and 1965), this trailer explores act one, set in Kokura during 1915. As the YouTube description sets up: "In this trailer, discover the events that lead Makoto Daito to sneak aboard the ship of a man named Orpheus, and the harsh realities and life-changing encounters that await him once arriving in the city of Kokura, Japan."

It also confirms there will be another four trailers in the future, each setting the scene for the different cities and years Stranger Than Heaven takes place in. The full game kicks off next year on 15th January 2027, available to pre-order now for £64.99 / $69.99.

In this trailer, Snoop Dogg's character Orpheus is prominent, as he acts as a mentor for protagonist Makoto Daito. Music is another strong theme in the game, and it features throughout a trailer full of gameplay, combat, and cutscenes.

With the game now only a handful of months away from release, what do you make of this latest look? Post your thoughts in the comments below.
