Playstation users are in for a treat horizon 6 is a huge improvement on horizon 5 in every department.

They might have waited a bit too long.. my understanding is that discourse around the game is starting to deteriorate as it has not been as maintained as it should have been (with healthy stream of fresh content) given the magnitude of release.

Personally, I got burned out on all the samey FH games (3-6), but at the same time I'm not the core audience.

Well we thought next year else the FH6 was going to drive straight into COD and GTA 6 this time of the year.
Now just need to know the Pro enhancements.

I was looking forward to this but might hold off to see how Clutch and BeamNG turn out first.

Got bored of FH5 really fast, despite really looking forward for it, meanwhile GT7 is going 1500 hours strong.
Think ill hold out with FH6.

Amazing how this would have excited me four months ago, to have it on both Xbox and PS5.

Now I’m happy to just keep my XBox copy and move on with my life.

I wonder if Fable is getting delayed again, that seems a bit too short of a gap between FH6 and Fable if they want Fable to do well.

@Zeke68 That is curious, considering how well FH5 sold. It'll likely still sell well, but they could have had a real nice bump with Christmas sales.

I really feel that Forza Horizon should've got the Japan treatment on FH3 or FH4. Feel it could've been given more to it back then

I tried it on Gamepass and have long since dropped it, sure the new location is pretty but for me the formula has grown stale and I got bored of it pretty quickly. It's not helped by having FH5's tedious progression for wheelspins and of course have those filled with an abundance of utterly useless cosmetics for your character in a game all about driving.

@get2sammyb if you didn't like 5 then there's nothing here that's gonna change that, outside of the location for the first couple of hours. For me Forza Horizon sits in a weird spot of not scratching the itch of a pure track based racing game, nor that of an arcade racing game. Instead occupying a weird space where it's fun to drive but everything feels disposable and you're never encouraged to learn how a particular car feels or even learn the "tracks".

I've just started Star Wars Galactic Racer and it's immediately a significantly better racing game

Just read yesterday that the studio addressed some fan concerns about staleness/lack of content. Makes me think the initial hype explosion wasn’t completely on the up-and-up

I just bought it this past weekend for Series X and I'm enjoying it. If you liked Horizon 5, you will like this game. At surface it looks like the same game in a different setting and perhaps more refined, but no major gameplay differences ... I'm enjoying the setting of Japan more than Mexico.

@get2sammyb I gotta be honest, I think the Mexico settings gives itself more to the whole "festival setting" than Japan does

Loved FH2-4 (FH5 was good but didn't enjoy it as much) on my XSX. Now I've got a PS5 and I'm 200+ hours into GT7, I'm not sure about FH6, I'm much more enjoying the more realistic circuit racing of GT than the prospect of endless drifting, awful NPC dialogue and the same arcadey FH formula yet again.

I'll most likely pick it up eventually though, MS does tend to offer steep discounts after all

I was a huge fan of 5. But it’s been so long I’ve kind of moved on from this game and I don’t know if I even care that’s it’s coming anymore. If nothing I’ll wait for a summer sale when it’s half off.

It’s going to be kinda funny if 2028 rolls around and Sony stops putting out game discs on PS5 but MS keeps making them for games on PS5. I’m sure MS must have their own disc manufacturers they can turn to to keep making them even if Sony stops.

@get2sammyb FH5 is my biggest disappointment this gen. There's zero sense of progression, the cars handle like they're wading through molasses, and you can bang your hypercar through a stone wall at 400km/h no problem (not to mention the obnoxious dude-bro festival dialogue and characters).

Microsoft delayed Fable because it didn’t want the game to be ignored because of GTA VI coverage, so it stands to reason that Forza Horizon 6 is saved until 2027 so that it has more breathing room and can get more attention from PlayStation gamers.

Very good game and good Sony players can also experience that. This is no 1 or arcade racers nowadays. Forza 5 already sold great on PS, Forza 6 will improve that number much much more.

FH4 and FH6 are really great racing game.. didnt like motorsport or forza 5. Bt yh playstation/japanese lovers might like this one.

Unfortunately there just is not time in my life for gran turismo and Forza, which is a shame,

If this had come out with all the other platforms I'd have picked it up day 1, full price. Delaying it this long and with how many other games I want to play are coming out around it (unlike earlier in the year) I'll wait for a sale.

I will wait for a sale. FH5 on PS5 got on sale pretty quickly, even the premium edition. No point in getting this full price at launch.

@Grumblevolcano Forza 6 is already out on Xbox and Steam, and its PS5 early access starts about a month before Fable's.

Fable won't be delayed again, as there is no logical reason for it.

For overlapping fans on PS5, they will buy both if able.

love these games but that pricing is outrageous. I don't remember the previous games costing £110 for the game plus DLC, etc. Madness

I hit 100% on the Series X. This will probably be another day one for me. I know some people having been ragging on Playground, and some of the discourse is not unfounded, but I have over 300 hours in and I still at least boot up twice a week to do the weekly stuff.

Day late and a dollar short for me. If this had come out before Galactic Racer and GTAVI, I would've picked it up.

FH6 is an absolutely fantastic game.

I bounced off this pretty hard. I kept hearing how good this series was but man it just felt like Ubisoft open world slop with a car as the main character.

On top of the collectathon and map markers was a ton of currencies and monetization gated garbage as well.

Cant wait no doubt it will be amazing

@darylb24 Forza Horizon is a much bigger franchise than Fable so on PS5, FH6 would likely overshadow Fable. Meanwhile on the Xbox side, people will be playing Fable via the Game Pass subscriptions that are currently active. That seems like setting Fable up to fail.

If they did keep Fable in February, it would feel like Xbox's priority is merging Playground into Activision rather than caring about the potential of Fable.

I was excited for this as I wanted to play it on PS5 with my racing wheel... But the wait has been long enough for me to lose interest now, especially with the feedback from the XBox community saying how the game gets old pretty quick, is just FH5 in a new setting, lack of new content etc etc... It certainly doesn't sound like it's worth the full price they're charging for it.

Perhaps I'll wait for a deep discount or a second hand copy. Or I'll just stick to playing GT7 in VR.

@Grumblevolcano might not fail, gamepass isn't the go to option anymore. Only ultimate at $23 a month, let's you play dat one. I wager most gamepass subs are the basic only access one. U doubt many of the 35 mill users are on the most expensive tier tbh.
